As our host Alexandra Forsyth gears up for The Podcast Show London alongside the next roster of guests joining Take A Chance On You, this week has also been a moment to reflect on the journey over the past 12 months.

Building the platform from the ground up has been a reminder that you really can create the life, conversations and opportunities you dream of, but it takes consistency, resilience, belief in yourself and a willingness to keep showing up even when the bigger picture hasn’t fully formed yet.

From podcasting and storytelling to media, live experiences and human connection, the journey continues evolving in ways that once felt impossible.

And this is only the beginning.

I went through a lot of rejection to get my first role.

I wasn't very good at public speaking at the time.

So I was going into these interviews and I was just

fumbling in terms of when they would give me feedback.

No matter how bad the feedback was, I'd go away and learn it

and apply it at the next interview.

But it was hard. It was really hard.

And a company finally took a chance on me and then moved to

London. But it wasn't always like them.

It wasn't always the public speaker.

I am today and like I say, used to be very introverted, quite

extroverted now. So you can have it, a podcast is

offering a voice, a different perspective.

You can have all of the things you want, dream big, have the

best goals, but in order to get there, you need to think about

the journey one step in front of the other.

Everybody is in a similar boat. We're all facing challenges,

we're all failing some successes, but it's the journey,

it's the story, and I hope to breathe some realness back into

people's lives starts with you.
