2026 The Year of Being Bold
Game Plan
Imogen Eden-Brown runs through exactly what "being bold" in 2026 actually means for an aspiring actress, model and content creator.
If you put yourself out there, I've cleared to myself, right?
2026 of the year, being old, I've had moments where I've just
gone, you know what, I'm going to e-mail my favourite casting
director. If they don't reply, they don't
reply. But at least I've tried.
And I remember there was this audition that I had and I really
wanted it. I hadn't heard back.
And so again, I just kind of assumed I hadn't got it.
Then I got a text saying they're pushing back the dates.
They're wondering if you're still free.
I'm thinking, OK, they still are interested in me.
I didn't hear anything and then got back to me and they were
like, oh, they haven't chosen anyone yet as they're still
casting for your role. They said that I did a really
good tape, saw that as a positive.
I mean, in my delusion, they haven't cast the role yet.
They said that my my tape was really, really good.
So I'm going to e-mail myself. Thank you so much for the
opportunity. Glad you enjoyed my tape.
And I heard you hadn't cast for it.
I'm wondering if there was an opportunity to tape again for
you because I just thought, why not?
If they say no, they say no, but I think I'd have beaten myself
up if I hadn't asked. They came back to me and they
said that they had ended up casting for the role, but they
really appreciated me emailing and really enjoyed my tape and
they'd keep me in mind for future opportunities.
So I did feel that's really kind of them to get back to me and
give me feedback and it gave me a bit of hope.
